#1

I apologise profusely about the double whammy that shall enrich yet another food/lifestyle/whatever blog.

For beginners: Myself and herself met in exactly 8 years ago in Caledonian Road.

Our foodie adventures probably began on the second Sunday of October  2006 (fine maybe the 3rd) when a clan of Cypriots boarded the Eastbound Piccadilly Line from Caledonian Road to Holloway Road.

Yes, we did get the tube for that. On a Sunday...
When Arsenal was probably playing...

And we made it to a kebab shop with tables.

And we had donner/shish fried potatoes.

The owner recognised our greekness and changed the music to Haris Alexiou and Vis(h)si.

At the end we got a greek/turkish/cypriot coffee.

Non-West end London - just like Caledonian Road - was pretty much a "dangerous" place to be.

And then came the hipsters.

As much as we love to bitch about them they have brought new things and have made London a tiny wee bit more interesting.

Whereas i could not get a cup of coffee after 5pm now i can have coffee whenever.
